This is a platform devoted to free writing on moving image, contemporary art, cultural events, sound and music, literature and media/art theories. "ART NOTES" is one of the few focus areas I am developing for FPC (the Floating Projects Collective). We welcome young, emerging as well as mature writers to share the same platform. We promote writing methods and styles that need not be confined to the binary opposites of journalistic-versus-academic genre division in art review. Every writer should have her/his own voice and sensibilities, mobilizing her/his own cognitive and perceptual resources. Our plan is that the accumulation of writings over time should lead to regular, purposeful seminars and workshops to discuss what it means by art-writing and what to do with it.

NønSpace is a work that attempts to probe at the often puzzling and elusive space of Hong Kong. Through its unique history, geography and politics, Hong Kong has sprouted from a small Chinese fishing village to a globalized financial city. From British influence of Western capitalism to a return to a long lost Chinese reality, Hong Kong has formed into a place of in-betweenness. Through interwoven voice interviews with artists, academics, architects, NønSpace approaches notions of space to reveal aspects of a city and culture that is difficult (and perhaps impossible) to underpin.
