18 Jan Basic mechanics of Graduation Thesis + Report on Equipment needs 15-30 Jan 2007

1. Confirm graduation thesis adviser (with consent from advisers). Adviser Declaration [final list] [OBTL worksheet]
2. Fill in on-line equipment form https://webbook.scm.cityu.edu.hk/SCM/; submit the hard copy with advisers' signature to production center

3. Any special computer request outside on-line equipment form should fill in
Computer equipment request form and submit to IT team with adviser's endorsement.

12 Apr Individual consultation 1-20 April Present Final Draft Revision (or trial exhibition for installation works) to your advisor(s)
19 Apr Individual consultation
26 Apr Individual consultation 23 Apr - Submit finished project (except Installation) and research-theoretical text to GO before 3:30pm.
- Last day to send request to FMO to help set up installation.
    May 7-9 Graduation Thesis Oral Presentation

Assessment

The revised assessment scheme below is to communicate two principles:
(1) that the process (research, continuous progress and quality of consultation sections) is as important as the final work; and
(2) that the semester grade should be the result of the consensus of both (all) advisers involved in each project.

- Three times advisement 15%

Mid-term presentation of final draft 15%
- Final Draft Revision 15%
- Finished project + research-theoretical text + oral defense 55%

Weighed Contribution to grading from advisers
Adviser: 70% (1st and 2nd adviser: 35%)
External Reviewer: 30%
