Arts Censorship/ controversial cases

Groups of 3 or 4 students present the topics below. Each group will have 20 minutes to present the topic and 10 minutes Q & A session. Instructor will stop you talking if you have already used up the time. You can have one representative to present your topic. The group should lead the Q & A session. Think of some questions to discuss with other classmates. Your group need to write down who responsible for which part on the last page of the PowerPoint file and submit the hard copy of the PowerPoint file to the instructor in class as well as a soft copy to Blackboard. Each group member should have an even share of workload, contributing to the research, analysis and preparation of a PowerPoint file.

ii. Hong Kong Arts Development Council;
iii. Arts Critics re-examining the incident by taking the gender issue into
consideration, such as the Chinese translation of "New Man", sexual
discrimination in Hong Kong;

of "New Man" in public places. What is your point of view?

3. Compare the redevelopment plan of Hong Kong harbour and the restoration plan of Cheong Gye Cheon (清溪川) in Seoul:

During the process of redevelopment plan of Hong Kong harbour, Star Ferry Pier and Queen's Pier were demolished. It caused a number of objection from the society and social movement which asked the government to review the policy of city planning. When compared with the restoration of Cheong Gye Cheon, there is less objection. Why? Compare the management of these 2 projects.
