Assessment

1. Class attendance
Your presence of the class is important. Too many absence, late or leave earlier will have subtantial grade deduction of the final grade. 6 absences for whatever reason will fail this course.
Classes out of the class time do not count attendance.
2. Participation 10%
This class requires active participation in the critiques.

3. Assignments 90%

1. Curate an exhibition (presentation in class, Apr. 4) 20%
2.
Present arts censorship/ controversial cases (presentation in class, Mar. 7) 15%
3. Writing 2 pieces of press release (D/L: Apr. 12, 5pm sharp) 20%
4. Writing a sponsorship proposal (D/L: Apr. 26, 5pm sharp) 35%

General Rules

- All the assignments should be submitted through CityU Blackboard system*. Plus a hard copy to the course's locker outside General Office before deadline.
- Late assignments will cause a deduction of 1 sub-grade a day. Assignment will not be graded 5 days after the deadline.
-You can resubmit your assignment on or before May 9. The grading of the resubmitted assignment will be stricter, usually 2 sub-grade lower.

Class communication

It is important to read your email often. You need to check it at the very least once a week. I will be sending out email periodically as needed to clarify issues, modify schedule etc. I will also communicate with you via email if you have submitted things incorrectly.
