Suppose you are an independent curator, you want to curate an exhibition for the Fotan artists. You visit Fotanian Open Studio to search for artists. You are a cultural interpreter. Your show is about contemporary art or culture in Hong Kong.

-It can be a group show or an individual show.
-You can include other artists' work or other form of arts but you need to include at least one Fotan artist and their latest works in Fotan Studio.
-Use a powerpoint to present your curatorial idea. Is there any selling point of your show? (Be Creative!)

Possible Content of the powerpoint:
-The name of the show;
-The curatorial statement of the show (most important part of the presentation);
-The execution of the show;
-The exhibition space;
-The artists;
-Art work examples;
-Where does the funding comes from?
-The budget of the show;
-The target audience of the show;
-Any catalogue of the show? If yes, besides introduction of the art works and the artists, any special content or design of the catalogue?
- Any educational programs/ event/ party/ concert/ performance/ souvenir for the show? (You don't need to do all these things, you just need to work on those items which can help achieve your aim of the show.)

Criteria for assessment:
- Originality of your approach;
- Any insight about the contmeporary art or culture in Hong Kong;
- Depth of analysis;
- Whether the selection of the art works or artists fit your theme;
- Logical organization;
- feasibility of the show;
- Accuracy in your description of the ideas and artists.

Presentation date: Feb. 25 in class.
Each of you will have 5 minutes to present. Instructor will stop your presentation right after 5 minutes. 5 minutes Q & A session. Please submit your powerpoint (soft copy) after presentation.
