/ Literature Review:

  • Book : Invisible Cities (Italo Calvino 1972). It provides me the basic concept of the basic elements and the narrative flow of the animation.
  • Book : The Castle of Crossed Destinies (Italo Calvino 1973). It provides me some interactive directions of the animation, such as randomize, chaos, rules… etc.
  • DVD : Beautiful world (Directed by Mieke Gerritzen, screenplay by Geert Lovink 2006). It provides me some more visual elements with meaning into the animation, a Typo city.
  • Book : Di tu de wen hua shi 地圖的文化史 (Haiye Yilong zhu 2002)
  • Book : Atlas 地圖集 (Dung Kai-cheung, 1997). I have not yet read the book, but it is very about some of the elements of my project.
  • Book : My City 我城 (Xi Xi, 1979). The other book visualize the Hong Kong City.
  • Book : Hong Kong: Culture and the Politics of Disappearance (Ackbar Abbas, 1997)
